Pallet Recycling UK
Palltech is a licensed waste carrier operating a full-circle pallet recycling service from our Widnes depot. Pallets we collect are inspected, repaired, reconditioned and put back into circulation. What cannot be reused is broken down and routed to licensed recycling streams. Nothing usable goes to landfill.
Our Recycling Process
Collected pallets arrive at our reconditioning line where each one is inspected, graded and either returned to stock as a Grade A, B or C used pallet or sent to repair. Our repair team replaces broken boards and stringers with heat-treated timber where ISPM15 certification matters, so repaired pallets retain full export compliance.
Sound timber from irreparable pallets is reused in the repair line or routed to biomass and composting partners. Every reconditioned pallet re-enters circulation as graded used wooden pallets available for onward supply.

ESG Benefits for Your Business
Choosing reconditioned over new pallets cuts embodied carbon in your packaging by roughly 60 to 80 percent per pallet per use. A standard new wooden pallet carries about 7 to 12 kg CO2e of cradle-to-gate emissions. Recycled pallets dramatically reduce that. Multiply by typical annual pallet volumes and the scope 3 saving is significant.
Every collection and onward recycling stream comes with a waste transfer note for your ISO 14001 compliance and audit trail. For the full approach see our sustainability page, or jump straight to our pallet buyback service if you have stock to clear today.
