Pallet Repair Service UK
Palltech's Widnes repair line restores your pallets to spec rather than you scrapping and replacing. Ideal for returnable pools, ISPM15-stamped export pallets and any business handling enough pallet volume to make repair more economic than replacement.
How Pallet Repair Works
We collect damaged pallets from your site or accept drop-offs at our depot. On arrival each pallet is inspected: broken boards replaced, split stringers reinforced, protruding nails removed, and the pallet returned to full structural spec. Repaired pallets are either sent back to you or pooled into your supply stream.
For ISPM15 stock, repairs use heat-treated timber so certification is preserved. Where the original stamp is damaged we can re-treat and re-stamp. See our heat-treated pallets page for ISPM15 technical detail.

Contract Repair and Pool Management
High-volume customers run contract repair arrangements with us. Scheduled weekly or monthly collection of damaged stock, repair to agreed spec, return to your site with full batch documentation. Ideal for returnable-pool operators, 3PLs managing third-party pallets, and manufacturers with proprietary bespoke pallets that cost too much to replace.
If you would rather sell damaged pallets than repair them, our used wooden pallets stream and buyback service are the alternative route.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Repairs with heat-treated timber preserve the original ISPM15 stamp. If the original stamp is damaged or if significant sections of the pallet are replaced, we can re-treat and re-stamp to maintain export compliance.
Standard contract repair turnaround is one to two weeks depending on volume and spec. Urgent same-week turnaround is possible for smaller loads.
Usually, yes. For bespoke or higher-spec pallets the saving is substantial. For standard UK pallets the economics depend on damage severity and volume. We quote per pallet so you can compare.
Pallets with multiple broken stringers, extensive rot or severe structural damage are typically uneconomic to repair. Sound timber from these is reclaimed for repair of other pallets or routed to recycling streams.
